Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. Isaiah 43:5

Waiting in the hall outside her bedroom door

Shortly before leaving to meet her family
(pictured with foster sister)

Those eyes and that tear  ........

The lollipop bribe in hand and ladybug backpack on.....

Final goodbye outdoors before getting into the car
As she got into the car with her teacher escort,
the song "All by myself" was playing in English on the car radio!

First sight of our precious gift from God as she
got off the elevator!

An answer to so many prayers

So unsure......

Looking Mama in the eyes for the first time

Because he said "YES" when God directed.....

This is hard stuff......zoning out

A year has brought so many changes

God sets the lonely in families..... Psalm 68:6a,

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.  John 14:18

*As we look back to a year ago, we first and foremost want to thank our gracious heavenly Father for asking us to step out in faith, and grow our family (again!)  We thank Him for His provision (through so many of you), guidance (red thread :), strength and a support network.  Our good God always guides where He provides friends!

I continue to blog about the story that God is writing through Lucy's life for a variety of reasons.   You see so many of you  played a role in her life by helping to bring her home!  You were a "piece of the puzzle".
We are eternally grateful.  YOU are a part of an orphan's story when you graciously give both through your prayers and financial support in helping families who are adopting.  I want to encourage each of you to keep helping the many, many other Lucy's that are deserving of a family.
Continue "caring for orphans in their distress" (James 1:27) in such a beautiful, practical and loving way!
We love you!

* If you'd like to help more orphans home but are not sure how, please drop me a line.   I'd love to tell you about two boys (ages 8 and 13) currently waiting in China for their family to raise the money needed to bring them H-O-M-E.  You can be a piece to yet another puzzle.   We'll even send you another picture magnet of these two rascals to add to your collection and as a reminder to prayer for them and their family that is working hard to get them home.  kimmerszimmer@gmail.com
